Over the past week I mainlined all 18 volumes of Naoki Urasawa’s epic manga series 20th Century Boys. I’m a total manga noob, but this series fucking blew my mind. Diamond says volume 19 is due to ship next month. I can’t wait!
So now that I’ve got a taste for it, what manga should I check out next?
If you enjoyed Naoki Urasawa, I’d highly reccomend one of his other series, Monster. At one point I actually turned a page, shrieked “JESUS!” and shoved the book out of my lap, because I was so startled by the spread.
Monster is apparently out of print at this time (in English anyway), which is too bad because it sounds seriously awesome!
